Healthy Vegan Trip to LA and Disneyland 2013

I recently took a 5-day vacation to southern California with my son, William and his Dad, Damon.  Damon and I separated in the fall of 2012, but decided to take this trip together so we could take William to Disneyland for the first time.  We both love William so much and wanted him to have a fun trip together with the two of us. We decided to make it a road trip and enjoy eating at several wonderful vegan restaurants along the way.  Southern California has lots to offer in the way of plant-based Read more […]

How to Eat a Vegan Meal at Chuck E. Cheese’s

My son was recently invited to his friend’s 6th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese’s.  He was quite excited, as this was one of his best friend’s parties and we never go to Chuck E. Traveling with kids seems to make a healthy plant-centric diet nearly unimaginable Read more […]

Making Healthy Food Fun with Mr. Food Face Plate

Making healthy food appealing to kids is a common challenge every parents faces.  Simply serving food on an appealing plate is just one way to encourage picky eaters to love their vegetables.  Check out this super-fun plate (it’s available in a Ms. Food Face Plate, too!).  We just got one and our son had a great time eating a red pepper mohawk and corn beard off it one day and grilled asparagus hair and a cauliflower mac & cheeze beard off it the next day!  Healthy, yummy and fun!  Read more […]

Organic Kid’s Tee Promoting Peace, Health & Vegetables!

How cute is this tee?  I found it at an awesome website called Autonomie Project, a store that sells fair trade clothing.  All their stuff is organic, sweatshop-free and vegan.  I think this tee is super-cute and sends a great message to kids, encouraging them to eat their vegetables in cool, fun way, while promoting peace and compassion.  I’m ordering one for William for Christmas!
